Since 2008, La Candela Peruvian Cuisine has been serving the authentic flavors of Peru in the heart of Hicksville, Long Island. What started with only 20 seats has grown into two full-service locations, making us a local favorite and one of the most recognized Peruvian restaurants in New York.
At La Candela, we specialize in Peruvian criollo dishes, fresh seafood, and charcoal-grilled favorites, bringing you classics like ceviche, lomo saltado, and arroz con mariscos. Every weekend, we also serve a traditional Peruvian breakfast, offering the comfort and tradition of home for our community. Fridays are for karaoke and weekends for live music, creating memorable moments for all our guests.
Our restaurant features a pisco bar, dedicated to Peru’s national spirit, where guests can enjoy the famous Pisco Sour, creative signature cocktails, and a variety of refreshing drinks to pair with every meal.
With more than 40 team members, including chefs, servers, and hospitality professionals, La Candela is more than just a restaurant – it’s a family.
